Description

A fine hand coloured engraving with aquatint by the artist Joseph Constantine Stadler, after a drawing by Augustus Charles Pugin (1762-1832). Entitled 'Chapel of Christ College, Cambridge', the view of the chapel includes several figures, detailed stained glass and interior panelling. Inscribed within the plate 'Published Oct 1st 1815 for R. Ackermann's History of Cambridge'. Well-presented in a simple wooden frame, as shown. Unsigned dated and inscribed. On wove.

Condition

In very good condition for a print of this age. Only some minor surface discolouration. With plate lines.
