Drawing on ancient painterly methods originating in the Tang dynasty of China, Dongfang has used elegant brushwork mixed with fine calligraphy skills to produce a wonderful selection of drawings and illustrations.

Although many of the works are unsigned, a letter enclosed in the original sketchbooks links this work to Hu Dongfang.
