T.A.S. - Mid 19th Century Watercolour, Through the Gate
DescriptionA charming rural scene in watercolour with body colour featuring a woman, young girl, and their dog proceeding through a garden gate towards thatched cottages. A blue piece of fabric hangs from the latticed window to the right of the composition, complementing the skirt of the woman's dress. Presented glazed in a white mount and an oak frame. Monogrammed to the lower-left corner. On wove.
There is some slight discolouration but overall the watercolour is in very good condition. There is a small mark beneath the glazing at the lower edge.
